When is Bali's rainy season?
Bali's wet season runs roughly November to March, and the dry season roughly April to October. But "wet season" in Bali rarely means all-day rain — it's usually a short, heavy downpour (often in the afternoon) and then it clears. The dry season gives firmer, dustier trails; the wet season turns the jungle into a muddier, more technical challenge.
Either way, we ride year-round. The season changes the character of the trail, not whether the tour runs.
Do you really ride in the rain?
Yes. Light rain, we ride — and the Tabanan jungle in particular turns into a fun mud challenge. Your guide reads the conditions and adapts the pace and the line so it stays fun and safe rather than sketchy. The onlycondition that actually halts a ride is a proper storm — heavy enough that it's not safe or not enjoyable — and in that case we move the schedule around or reschedule you. We'll always give you an honest read on the conditions for your dates.
What's it like riding muddy trails?
Muddier trails are more technical — more grip-management, more line choice — which is exactly why a lot of riders prefer the wet season. You're on a proper off-road bike with the right tyres, in full protective gear, with a guide setting a pace that matches you. If you're a first-timer, that's fine: on the beginner routes the guide keeps it gentle and coaches you through it (see the beginner's guide).
You finish muddy and grinning. All the riding gear is provided and laundered after every ride, so you don't take the mud home with you.
Should I book in the wet season or wait?
Don't let the wet season put you off. It's often quieter, the scenery is at its greenest, and the riding is more of a challenge. If your dates land in the wet months, message us — we'll tell you honestly how it's riding and point you to the route that handles the rain best. Prices don't change by season; a half-day still starts from Rp 1.3M.
