Do I need experience to join a tour?

The harder routes do expect real off-road ability — but you choose the route that fits you, and we agree it before you ride.
What about a licence?
For the guided tour itself, no. You ride on private trails with a guide, not on Bali's public roads — so a road licence isn't required to join. That's the whole point of a guided off-road experience: we handle the bike, the gear and the route, and you ride with us.
What's worth knowing: this is a different thing from renting a scooter and riding yourself on Bali's public roads, where a valid licence does apply. For your own off-road safety we also strongly recommend carrying travel/medical insurance that covers off-road motorcycling.
